Companion Animal Parasite Council
Founded in 2002, the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC) is an independent, non-profit organization that is dedicated to increasing awareness of the threat parasites present to pets and family members. By generating and disseminating credible, accurate and timely information for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of parasitic infections, CAPC works to educate pet owners and veterinary professionals.
With its vision to have “Every Pet Tested and Protected”, CAPC has created many innovative and informative programs including its parasite forecasts, parasite prevalence maps and parasite guidelines. These programs were designed to keep veterinary professionals and pet owners informed on the growing risk parasites pose to the health of both pets and humans in North America.


Veterinary Oral Health Council - VOHC

What is VOHC and does it matter if a treat or dental product has this seal of approval? VOHC exists to recognize products that meet pre-set standards of plaque and calculus (tartar) retardation in dogs and cats. Products are awarded the VOHC Seal of Acceptance following review of data from trials conducted according to VOHC protocols.
