Nicole

Nicole

Certified Veterinary Technician

Nicole started working at Family Pet Hospital in 2010 as she was in the middle of her Associate’s Degree. She then finished that degree and became a Certified Veterinary Technician.

While Nicole loves helping animals, like most in the veterinary field, she is particularly interested in medicine and technology. Medicine and technology are ever-evolving fields that change and grow daily, and Nicole loves learning and continuing to grow in her knowledge, skills, and professional development.

Nicole has previously worked at other vet practices, but she considers Family Pet Hospital her home. She loves educating her clients on keeping their pets happy and healthy so they can live their best lives. When Nicole was 14, she tragically lost her first mare, a sweet horse she used for 4H. Nicole promised herself she would always show empathy to her clients and educate them as much as possible on their pet’s health.

At work, Nicole enjoys performing dentals. She loves seeing the before and after of a pet’s dental condition, and she knows how much having a healthy mouth can impact their overall health. Family Pet Hospital has recently implemented CVT Wellness Exams, and Nicole enjoys using her skills and knowledge to perform those.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and animals. She and her husband are avid hunters and enjoy the thrill of bow hunting. Outside of work and family, Nicole participates in CrossFit and is currently training for her first half marathon. She considers her happy place to be either in a saddle or anywhere with her family.

Olivia

Olivia

Veterinary Assistant

Olivia was born and raised on a small farm in Springville, Utah, where she developed a deep connection to animals and nature. This experience instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine love for helping animals. Being able to assist in their care every day is incredibly fulfilling, and Olivia enjoys making a positive impact on both the pets and their owners.

At the age of 16, Olivia interned as a dog behaviorist, which sparked her desire to work with animals in a more hands-on way. By 17, she’d transitioned into dog grooming, a career she pursued for several years, even moving to St. George to continue her work. Eventually, Olivia returned to Utah County and discovered Family Pet Hospital, where she saw an opportunity to expand her skills and pursue her passion for veterinary medicine.

One of Olivia’s greatest joys in working with animals has been watching the bond between pets and their owners. It’s an incredibly special bond that she shared with her family cat, Bruce, whom she rescued during a high school soccer practice. Bruce’s journey inspired Olivia to continue rescuing and rehabilitating cats and kittens, and it reinforced her commitment to veterinary medicine, through which she can make a difference in even more animals’ lives. Clinically, Olivia has a special interest in animal behavior.

Outside of work, Olivia lives with her fiancé and their pets, which include two dogs (Kiwi and Beamer), four cats (Carlisle, Edward, Leonard, and Triscuit), and a rescued bearded dragon named Ray. Their home is full of love and the animals are truly at the heart of it all. In her free time, Olivia enjoys hiking, backpacking, running, camping, traveling, and being with family (two-legged and four). Whether she’s out in nature or at home, Olivia’s life is centered around the things and beings she cares about most.

Sarah F.

Sarah F.

Veterinary Aide

Sarah has always loved animals. As a child, she remembers walking to the bus stop, and pausing to put worms back in the dirt after storms. When she got old enough to work at a local shelter, Sarah recalls a kitten being brought in who had suffered a devastating injury. Following a life-saving surgery, the kitten, whom Sarah named Bluebird, made a full recovery and was adopted. It was this incredible experience that made Sarah realize that helping animals was what she wanted to do for a living.

Prior to joining the Family Pet Hospital team, Sarah spent three years working at a local humane society in her hometown in Idaho before moving to Utah for school. While her initial focus was forensic science, she missed the animals too much, so she switched to the veterinary technician program. As a veterinary aide here at Family Pet Hospital, Sarah is gaining valuable hands-on experience, learning a lot, and doing what she loves most: being a voice for the voiceless.

Outside of work, Sarah lives with three of her best friends and their three feline family members. Sarah’s cat, Marie, loves to run as fast as she can through the funky layout of the house and then tell everyone all about it. She’s a vocal little girl who greets Sarah every evening when she walks through the door. In the mornings, Marie likes to lay on Sarah’s chest and convince her to press the snooze button a few extra times. Of course, Sarah is more than happy to oblige.

Delia

Delia

Business Manager and Co-Owner

Delia has always called the Western area of the States her home. Growing up in the Cascade mountains of Oregon, close to the beautiful Pacific coastline and Redwood forests, the smell of pines and fir trees continues to be a heavenly scent for her. Pets and farm animals were also a regular part of her childhood, and she learned early how to care for the farm animals and ride horses. This fostered a lifelong love and respect for all creatures large and small.

Delia has been managing the business side of the Family Pet Hospital since its inception in 2006. Being a part of the care and passion that is integral to the veterinary profession has been and continues to be a very rewarding journey. Delia considers it a true joy to align her personal strengths, skills, and education to the needs and demands of this profession.

Outside of work, Delia is the proud mother of nine of the best children ever, all of whom are now adults, creating their own paths, careers, and adventures. Her grandchildren are currently convincing her that there couldn’t be anyone more precious and wonderful than they are!

Jessica

Jessica

Customer Service Manager

Prior to joining Family Pet Hospital, Jessica was working as an elementary classroom aide. When it came time for a career change, she decided to transition to the veterinary field. As our customer service manager, Jessica is able to continue doing what she does best – helping people, while also interacting with our patients. It truly is a win-win!

Growing up, Jessica’s Dad was in the Air Force, which meant quite a bit of moving over the years. While stationed in Japan, the family welcomed two more children before settling down in Rigby, Idaho, where Jessica attended school, joined the swim team, and played in the band. She obtained her degree in elementary education from Ricks and Utah State University.

Outside of work, Jessica is happily married and a proud Mom of five children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, and playing games. Her fur family consists of three tortoise calico kitties.
